Evolution Sports Academy, established in 2012, is Sharjah’s leading British football and sports Academy. The dedicated team at ESA comprises of 20 professionals from 12 countries across the globe, all working determinedly towards creating pathways for children, following the ESA player development pyramid. The team comprises of various specialists, including part-time & full-time coaches/managers, elite-level & amateur-level, strength & conditioning, & nutrition experts.
Job Role
- Part-time goalkeeper coaching position with a minimum of two hours of allocated coaching per week (Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30pm-7:30pm).
Responsibilities
- Effectively plan, deliver, and evaluate goalkeeper coaching sessions in line with the Academy’s philosophy for the Evolution Development Squad.
- Work with academy coaches to produce and deliver detailed regular individual goalkeeper progress reviews, and produce and implement individual goalkeeper development plans for Academy goalkeepers (Ages 12-18).
- Manage the logistics for all goalkeeper training sessions and be responsible for maintenance of training equipment as required by goalkeepers.
- Continuously look to identify opportunities to improve operations and practices in the goalkeeper coaching department.
- Any other duties as required by the Academy within the reasonable demands of the role.
Qualifications
- Western nationalities preferred, but not exclusive.
- Strong English language competency.
- Completion of goalkeeping coaching badges and certifications, preferred.
- Committed, enthusiastic, and passionate about the development of goalkeepers and to the principles of teaching and learning, and an understanding of teaching and learning styles.
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as using one’s own initiative, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate on a variety of levels (parents, players, coaches, management).
- Able to adapt to the demands of the job and needs of the players and other staff.
- Dedicated to self-improvement and continuous professional development.
- Committed to working to and promoting the philosophy of the Academy and to promoting and displaying standards of excellence.
