Job Purpose

The Adventure & Sports Specialist-Elite is a position working between TRSDC head office, and multiple project sites, whose primary goal is to support the Director of Sports & Adventure to develop all adventure and sports related tourism assets and their business function. He/She is responsible for the supporting the concept development and operational roll-out of all related projects, including the collaboration and engagement of cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring all sides of the business are informed throughout the life of the project. Working closely with the Director of Sports & Adventure to enhance project outcomes and achieve a uniquely Saudi identity in this space for all projects within TRSDC Portfolio.

Job Responsibilities – Functional

• Reporting directly to the Director of Sports & Adventure, assisting in the management of all phases of adventure and sports related projects.
• Work alongside Delivery Team to deliver water sports centres and necessary components to make them independent operations, locally functional but connected across the project
• Work alongside Health & Safety and Legal Departments to develop policies, procedures, and source operational licenses.
• Develop skills as a subject matter expert cross-discipline adventure and sports programs
• Support with the liaison between us and 3rd party service providers who may be brought in to deliver key elements of training related to the delivery of specific activities offered as part of the ‘products’ available at any given venue.
• Working closely with Asset Management to ensure clear and constant communication with hotel operators and the wider external stakeholder network.
• Support the development of relationships with the local community to build cultural content within guest experiences and grow our team with local resources and experience
• On-going support for the team to ensure our activity programs are delivered in keeping with the overarching sustainability goals as set out in our project master plan.
• Work alongside Director of Sports & Adventure to engage development Project leaders for the integration of adventure and sports related tourism elements into their projects. Ensuring our team is part of the process at a crucial stage of influence.
• Attend project meetings, develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress and update existing project database.
• Create and maintain weekly report for Destination Development team meeting
• Create and maintain project presentations.
• Collate, create, and maintain site visit survey presentations and database.
• Collate department information and communications to generate internal and external media publications.
• Visit site when required to carry out work related to the operational readiness of key assets and development of new project streams.

Job Responsibilities – Organizational

• Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional MIS statements and reports to meet corporate and functional requirements, policies, and standards.

Safety, Quality & Environment
• Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Job Requirements – Qualification & Experience

• Degree in Tourism or related Culture, Sport, Hospitality, Leisure, or Entertainment fields
• Overseas Experience in related fields – Educational, Internship or Work Experience
