Position: Chemistry Teacher
Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
We are looking for a Chemistry Teacher for a UK based School In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Responsibilities
- Developing, testing, and supervising weekly laboratory experiments that relate to the current classroom lessons.
- Ascertaining that students understand and adhere to all laboratory safety rules, as well as the proper procedures to follow in the event of accidents or emergencies.
- Assigning and grading all coursework, submitting grades, and communicating with parents about student progress.
- Assuring that all students are adequately prepared for state exams and that they meet both school and state standards for student competency.
- Keeping meticulous records of student attendance, participation, homework, laboratory work, and test scores.
- Planning and supervising at least one field trip per school year, obtaining parental permission for all students, and ensuring their safety while away from the school.
- Attending parent-teacher conferences each semester and being prepared to share detailed evaluations for each student.
- Recognizing the curriculum and creating schedules, lesson plans, and instructional methods that will assist students in covering the required content.
- Preparing and delivering stimulating and clear lessons.
- Educating students about laboratory safety and ensuring that all experiments are conducted safely.
- Organizing tests, assignments, and experiments, as well as assigning and grading students fairly.
- Assuring students have access to appropriate resources and consultation times.
- Mentoring and assisting student teachers.
- Attending meetings with staff and parents, conferences, workshops, and other forms of continuing education.
- Assuring a safe, healthy classroom environment conducive to learning.
