We are looking to hire an Event Manager who will be responsible for managing end to end large events for our Client, a leading semi-government organization in Abu Dhabi.

This position is a long-term contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable based on performance.

The role sits within the Events team and reports directly to the Head of Events.

As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for managing end to end projects, organizing and managing large scale events/trade shows. You will oversee and organize events that will make an impact on our target audience and elevate the quality of our portfolio of events.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible and plan end to end events according to requirements, target audience and objectives including tender process, participation management and project planning/presentation.
  • Develop events budgets, source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Coordinate all on ground operations for all events and ensure best practices are applied for internal and external events that the organization is associated with.
  • Lead promotional activities for the event.
  • Approve all aspects before the day of the event.
  • Excellent understanding of various government and non-government approvals required when organizing an event.
  • Ensure the event is completed smoothly and steps up to resolve any problems that might occur.
  • Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports.

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Proven 5+ years of experience in running events as a manager or senior specialist.
  • Knowledge of performance metrics and marketing techniques for event management
  • Should have experience in managing large events/exhibitions/roadshows for a government organization in UAE.
  • 2+ years of experience in project management.
  • 2+ years of experience in organizing large scale events in Abu Dhabi preferable.
  • Computer savvy – proficient in MS Office.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A knack for problem-solving.
  • A team player with leadership skills.
  • Fluent communication in English and Arabic.

Availability:

  • Preference will be given to candidates available to take candidates who can join with short notice.

This role will require the candidate to work in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
