Job Position – Logistics Operations Center (LOC) Manager

Amentum has an opening for a Logistics Operations Center (LOC) Manager in Kuwait.
The Logistics Operations Center (LOC) Manager is responsible for operational planning and synchronization of the supply, transportation, maintenance, and retrograde operations to support routine and non-routine mission requirements for the Kuwait Bn Army Prepositioned Stocks (APS-5), SWA Bn APS-5 and In Theater Maintenance (ITM) Support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions: o Evaluate staff, comparing objectives and achievements in staff assessments. o Coach & mentor employees in their professional career development and process improvements.
- Handle multiple operations simultaneously and provide updated status to the Government on cost, schedule and mission performance weekly through task organization.
- Oversee the LOC staff and operations center.
- Effectively analyze supply, transportation, maintenance, and retrograde operations simultaneously in order to establish best practices.
- Serve as the primary facilitator for Government to Contractor operational interface and acts as the nerve center for all requests for logistical support.
- Provide updated status to Government on cost, schedule, and mission performance weekly.
- Ensure reporting and records are up-to-date and maintained accurately.
- Established mission battle rhythm updates and metrics to subordinate functional operations cells, program management, and government.
- Ensure staff is properly trained to perform mission analysis, including but not limited to workload analysis, analysis of real property resources available, skill sets available, impact to other assigned tasks, requirements for external coordination, and determination of both specified and implied tasks required to complete an assignment.
- Maintain situational awareness of all logistics activities at all operational nodes.
- Analyze reports, surveillance guidelines, maintenance schedules, performance trends and requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration/Management or equivalent highly preferred.
Experience:
- 10 years of military operations experience and be well versed in Army operating methodologies and the use of appropriate logistic information systems.
- 5 years’ experience in a lead or supervisory role preferred.
- US Army MOS 92/88 series preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have the ability to interpret and implement local policies.
- Must have an intermediate level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project and Outlook.
- Must have progressive written and oral communications skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.
- Possess the capability to use appropriate logistics STAMIS systems such as: GCSS, LMP, LIW, and AWRDS information systems.
Certification, License & Clearance:
- Project Management (certification) preferred.
- Secret Clearance is required.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
