Job Position – Facilities Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring all building functions including ensuring efficiency of all building systems
- Managing all service provider contracts
- Monitoring KPI and SLA compliance
- Preparing KPI and SLA for various service providers based on requirements
- Formulate facilities management strategies, policies, procedures, methodologies statement, and objectives
- Reviewing and approving the scope of work of contractors for Fit-out works
- Analyze tender evaluations for various vendors
- Performing walk-through inspections from time to time to ensure the quality of services of the vendors
- Reviewing and approving work permits for the contractors who will work in the building
- Preparing operating reports and budgets and ensuring all processes and compliance are met
- Ensuring all utility systems are inspected and per regulations including monitoring the utility consumption
- Ensuring compliance with all municipality requirements pertaining to Health and Safety
- Planning building maintenance and operational programs
- Proactively build and nurture external relationships with various stakeholders e.g. Government Authorities, clients, and outsourcing service providers to ensure that the appropriate level of external services are obtained to the best advantage of the company
- Managing and supervising all facilities personnel. Evaluate and approve the monthly performance of the FM service provider.
- Through knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques especially MEP, HVAC, and fire alarm and firefighting systems
- Reviews record drawings, operating and maintenance manuals, and other relevant technical submittals whenever required
- Actively participate and lead the implementation of Policies, Systems, Processes, and Procedures covering all relevant business functions related to Facilities Management so that all business requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality service to customers
- Lead and direct the interaction between the FM team and various departments to provide the synergy of facility management operations to attain the utmost customer satisfaction level
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in a related role that provided exposure to Building Management, Facilities Management, Community Management, Project Management, Hospitality
- A bachelor’s degree qualification in Engineering or Facilities Management
- Strong technical skills
- Engineering or Facilities Management Certification is an advantage (IFMA, IWFM, MEFMA, PMP, LEED, ASHRAE, etc)
Requirements
- To be able to develop FM strategy, policies, procedures, and methodologies statements
- Ability to read analysis and prepare technical and commercial tender evaluations
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Goal-oriented, organized team player
- Encouraging team and staff; able to mentor and lead
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of Facilities Management and building requirements
- Good understanding of Engineering standards
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Good communicator, team player, flexible, and positive “can-do” attitude.
- The ability to accept change, work flexibly, and work under pressure is an advantage.
- Having a valid driver’s license is a must
- Fluency in the Arabic Language is an advantage
