Creative Graphic Designer is responsible to assist with the efficient running of the department in line with Al Khoory Hotels Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest, and owner expectations. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the conceptualization and production of artwork for food promotions, room packages and all other hotel services, activities and collaterals as assigned.

II. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create innovative and consistent communication designs for marketing and communications materials according to Al Khoory Hotels branding guidelines including print, presentations, digital and events.
  • Create and edit digital clips.
  • Build photo database and photography campaigns.
  • Create HTML newsletters and e-marketing communications, staying abreast of design trends to improve deliverability.
  • Create, develop and market key events for the hotels, especially during key business periods.
  • Take photographs of all internal functions/events as and when required
  • Work closely across all hotel departments, seeking proactive opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges, as required.
  • Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with the level of responsibility of the post and in order to meet the changing needs of the hotels.
  • Liaises with suppliers and agents for creative collateral design and print ensuring production quality and deadlines are met
  • Actively supports Sales Team and in-house Staff.
  • Ensures adequate stocks of promotional collateral are available at all times
  • Responsible for quotations/briefing the printers with thorough knowledge of print design and the printing process
  • Plan key events under Marketing Manager/GM’s purview well in advance
  • Handle emergency cases according to established policies and procedures
  • Maintain a high level of coordination with the Agency and other departments in order to maintain consistent quality service standards towards internal & external customers
  • Ensure that day to day inquiries/correspondences are handled in a professional manner
  • Responsible for releasing a Month End Report, annual plan and budget
  • Oversee photo library and maintain up-to-date data
  • Fully aware of hotel’s revenue targets.
  • Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
  • Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Maintains familiarity with customer demographics and develops an appropriate look and feel for all promotion and event related collateral
  • Monitors the progress of all projects, including the maintenance of project files and archives.
  • Proficiency with Arabic or any other language would be an added advantage

Key design skills

  • A vast knowledge of the Adobe Packages including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are vital
  • Confident with photography & videography using SLR/Mirrorless camera and image retouching is crucial
  • Advanced understanding of digital editing software such as After Effects and Premiere Pro are essential
  • Executes various aspects of production including, printing, scanning, digital retouching, image editing, special effects, and file manipulation and layout.
