JOB VACANCY – PODIATRIST
Position: Podiatrist
Department: Clinical
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time, as applicable
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Podiatrist to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, providing preventive foot care, and ensuring high standards of patient care in accordance with applicable Department of Health (DOH) regulations and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions within the scope of practice.
2. Provide routine podiatric care, including nail care and the treatment of corns, calluses, and ingrown toenails.
3. Perform diabetic foot assessments and provide appropriate preventive care and patient education.
4. Assess and manage foot-related skin conditions, wounds, and infections in accordance with professional scope of practice.
5. Evaluate gait, foot biomechanics, and related musculoskeletal conditions.
6. Educate patients on proper foot hygiene, appropriate footwear, and preventive foot care.
7. Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients’ clinical needs and monitor treatment outcomes.
8. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient records and clinical documentation.
9. Comply with DOH regulations, infection control protocols, and established clinical standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized qualification in Podiatry.
2. Valid DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility to obtain the appropriate professional license, subject to applicable licensing requirements.
3. Relevant clinical experience in podiatry; experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting is preferred.
4. Knowledge and experience in diabetic foot care, routine podiatric procedures, and the management of common foot conditions.
5. Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, and clinical documentation standards.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
8. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage patient appointments efficiently.
9. Flexible and adaptable to clinic schedules, patient needs, and operational requirements.
10. Professional attitude, ethical conduct, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
11. Proficiency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
