ROLE DESCRIPTION
The IT Onsite Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining the IT infrastructure environment for the Dubai office and acts as second-level support for the resolution of IT-related incidents, service requests, and connectivity issues.
The role covers planning and delivery of relevant support services including installation, consultation, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERTISE
• Degree (or equivalent) in IT or a related discipline
• ITIL Service delivery manager qualifications
• CISCO Certified (Desirable)
• Networking technologies (VLANs, firewalls, VPN, DNS)
• In-depth knowledge of Operating systems, Firewall and Switches, Active Directory
• Apple / Android OS to provide end-user support in configuring applications (e.g., Blackberry UEM / Mobile call recording)
• Good understanding of IT security and Data protection
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
SKILLS PROFILE
• 3-5+ years’ direct experience in IT fields performing day-to-day IT support for a medium to the large organization including vendor management
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and hands-on personality willing to take on responsibility
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities, and relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact/provide prompt and accurate
feedback with people of all levels in a confident, professional manner
• Good lateral thinking capabilities and a high level of service excellence to find the best solutions
in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Aptitude for learning new applications
• Ability and temperament to work with sensitive information
• Familiarity with project management, change management experience and practices would be an advantage
• Exceptional communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) and a demonstrated ability to translate requests into timely and accurate responses
• Availability to participate on a 24X7 basis in emergency facility needs including Business Continuity Management.
