Responsibilities
- Maintaining books and records for the company in accordance with local GAAP
- Providing such Management information in English as required
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts plus accompanying commentary to Group.
- Collection of relevant performance statistics and data as needed for raising of all sales invoices to local customer(s) in a timely fashion.
- Processing of all purchase invoices, credit card statements, cash book payments etc.
- Processing of all wages and salaries payrolls in accordance with local laws.
- Making all wage and salary payments via the bank a/c and paying over all Employee and Employer deductions to local authorities as required
- Reconciling all control accounts monthly for Group review
- Making all local statutory filings in a timely fashion as required by local laws including payroll, vat WHT and financial information.
- Ensure the company is fully compliant with all current financial legislation.
- Lead in creation of budgets and periodic forecasts to group timetable
- Lead on statutory accounts preparation, audit and filings for both companies
- Act as point of contact for local banks, legal advisors, accountants, tax advisors, government agencies, insurers.
- Be member of local Senior Management Team and act as financial support to local and Group management
- Provide statistical analysis of operations to local management
- Oversee local petty cash system and ensure compliance with Group procedures and controls
Requirements:
- 5 years + experience in a similar role preferably in foreign owned SME
- Experience of keeping books and reporting in English and Arabic
- Preferably qualified but strong QBE considered
- Good oral and written English
- Used to working with minimum of supervision in stand alone role
- Experience of accounting & reporting in a multi currency environment
- Experience of running payroll in Qatar
- Experience of Qatar VAT legislation
- Good accounting systems experience
- Strong Excel skills
