Job Position – Senior Websphere Administrator

Location: Abu Dhabi

Req: Must have more than 10 years of experience as a Websphere Admin. Should be available in UAE.
Salary: Depends upon exp
JD: Perform security baseline rollout on Middleware systems (WAS, IBM MQ, Oracle
WebLogic, Red Hat JBOSS, Apache Tomcat) based on hardening policy document
Setup, administration and support of application/web server on Windows & UNIX
Setup, administration and support of J2EE based application servers
o IBM WebSphere Application server 7.x 8.x & 9.x
o Oracle WebLogic Application Servers 11.x, 12.x
o Red hat JBOSS Application platform
o Apache Tomcat
Setup, administration and support of J2EE based Web server
o IBM Http Web Application server 6.x, 7.x & 8.x
o Oracle WebLogic Application Servers 11.x, 12.x
o Red hat JBOSS Web Server 5.x, 6.x & 7.x
o Oracle HTTP server 11g and 12c
o Apache HTTP server 2.2, 2.2 & 2.4
Setup, administration and support of WebSphere MQ 7.x,9.x
Backup, restoration and business continuity rehearsal.
Environment setup for Development, UAT, SIT, Production, staging and DR
Carrying out Stress testing, performance tuning and capacity upgrades of servers
Encryption of web & TCPIP traffic with SSL and Certificate updates/configuration
Setup and administration of Monitoring Solutions like HP BSM tools, SCOM
Implement changes from either user or business requirements and ensures that
performance is not degraded by system changes
Implements and designs, security policies
Works with Information Security and Network security to ensure systems are
totally secure
Submits change management requests to senior management and alters/ tunes
systems accordingly
Identify and troubleshoot issues and formulating a solution. Identify tools and
methodologies for trouble-shooting, maintenance and capacity upgrades
Work with help desks to resolve daily issues on incidents or remedies in
appropriate manner based on the significance of the issue
Monitoring system performance and issues that may impact availability of systems
