Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Drilling Engineer to lead and manage drilling operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with ADNOC HSE standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in offshore drilling engineering and operations in the Abu Dhabi oil & gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

📌 Drilling Planning & Execution :

– Develop short-term & long-term drilling plans aligned with project goals.
– Prepare well AFE and secure management approval.
– Assess and allocate materials & equipment required for drilling campaigns.

📌 Drilling Operations & Engineering

– Coordinate with internal teams and service providers for efficient drilling execution.
– Ensure drilling operations comply with ADNOC standards, HSE policies, and regulatory guidelines.
– Oversee rig specifications, drilling programs, and operational execution.
– Monitor and analyze drilling performance, optimizing efficiency and costs.
– Prepare detailed reports on well performance, including operational insights and lessons learned.

📌 Risk Assessment & Compliance

– Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans for operational challenges.
– Ensure adherence to well control, environmental standards, and waste management.

📌 Team Leadership & Technical Coaching

– Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
– Evaluate and recommend new drilling technologies for operational improvements.

📌 Stakeholder & Contractor Management

– Act as a focal point for ADNOC regarding drilling matters.
– Supervise service contractors to ensure timely, cost-effective services.

Qualifications & Experience:

✅ Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
Valid IWCF Level 4 certification or equivalent.

✅ Experience:

– 10+ years in drilling engineering & operations, with at least 3 years on a rig site.
– 5+ years as a Senior Drilling Engineer in the Abu Dhabi offshore field.
Strong experience in Landmark software (COMPASS, WELLCAT, WELLPLAN, etc.).
