Job Title: Lifting Engineer
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lifting Engineer to join our project teams in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe planning, coordination, and execution of all lifting operations on the project. The role ensures technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective risk control during lifting activities.
Prepare detailed lifting plans for routine, non-routine, and critical lifts.
Perform load calculations, crane capacity analysis, and rigging design verification.
Review crane load charts and ensure the selected crane configuration is suitable for the intended lift.
Assess ground bearing pressure and verify stability of crane setup locations.
Develop method statements and task-specific risk assessments for lifting operations.
Provide technical input during constructability reviews involving heavy or
complex lifts.
Issue Permit to Work (PTW) for lifting operations, including critical and high-risk lifts.
Verify site readiness prior to PTW activation (exclusion zones, ground condition, weather limits, communication systems).
Oversee execution of critical and complex lifting activities on site.
Inspect & Ensure cranes, lifting gears, and accessories are inspected and certified by approved third parties.
Verify color coding, tagging, and traceability of lifting accessories.
Maintain records of lifting plans, PTWs, inspections, and completed lifts.
Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
