Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital is seeking an accomplished Consultant – Tier 1 (CCT) Ophthalmology specialist to join our advanced eye care team. The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent Tier 1 consultant qualification, bringing strong clinical excellence across medical and surgical ophthalmology. This role is essential in leading complex ophthalmic cases, driving service quality, and ensuring outstanding patient outcomes within a collaborative, state‑of‑the‑art environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care, including advanced diagnostics, medical management, and surgical procedures.
• Lead the management of complex and emergency ophthalmic conditions with accuracy and confidence.
• Perform specialized surgical interventions aligned with Tier 1 (CCT) consultant standards.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate, and high‑quality patient care.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality assurance, and the adoption of best practices.
• Support education, training, and mentorship within the Ophthalmology department.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 Consultant qualification (CCT or equivalent) in Ophthalmology.
• Strong expertise in both medical and surgical ophthalmology.
• Proven experience handling advanced, complex ophthalmic cases.
• Excellent communication, clinical decision‑making, and teamwork capabilities.
• Eligibility for DOH Consultant licensure.
