Job Position – Transmission O&M Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:
Should be able to take responsibility for detection, interpretation, handling and escalation of transmission network alarms and errors.
Should be able to receive and acknowledge the alarm in accordance with the operational instruction of the Network Management System.
Must perform 1st level restoration.
In case the fault is beyond the capabilities of 1st level restoration and / or cannot be solved within the escalation time, should escalate to 2nd level.
Create Trouble Ticket and assign it to relevant person.
Create work order if need handle on site.
Collect raw data and output report, dispatch to relative staffs.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor degree in Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunications engineering
At least 2 years’ experience in transmission networks deployment, operation, and troubleshooting
Good understanding and knowledge of Telecom networks.
Good knowledge of MW and other types of wireless networks
Good knowledge of ethernet switches and routers.
Well aware of transmission test and measurement equipment such as ethernet tester.
Technical document and report writing skills
Good analytical skills
Must be able to Perform Maintenance Routines and Analyse Maintenance Routines Result.
Should have skills and experience for MW network Report Handling.
Should be able to Generate and Handling Trouble Ticket.
Should be highly skilled to Monitor Network and performance threshold Alarms.
Should have skill set for Analyse and Classify Alarms.
Handle Customer Problems and queries.
Knowledge of Aviat MW and NOKIA SAR routers would be beneficial
Certifications (like CCNA ) would be beneficial.
