Job Position – Cath Lab Technician

PRE- CATHETERIZATION
· Entering patient information data correctly
· To assist / help in transferring of patient to cath lab table and patient preparation inside the procedure room.
· To check the IVUS machine and injector and FFR machine.
· Perform hemodynamic and monitor the patient.
· Documenting all the records of patient
INTRA-OPERATIVE PROCEDURE
· Responsible for monitoring the vital sign of patient.
· Responsible for Angulation of x-ray machine.
· Responsible in issuance of the cath lab items like catheters, balloons, stents, guide wires (diagnostic intervention).
· Responsible for injector machine.
· Maintaining radiation protection for the cath lab staff and other involved staff during the procedure.
· Assisting nurses in transferring patient from the laboratory to the recovery room.
· Operate the IVUS machine if needed.
· Operate the FFR machine if needed.
POST CATHETERIZATION
· Checking the angiographic images and editing which are not needed.
· Measurement of LV injection fraction based on the scene loops of the LV angiogram.
· Transferring the procedure data to CD
· Transferring of procedures to PACs’ System
· Assisting and providing help in sheath removal and application of require pressure over the puncture site until the bleeding stops.
· Applies pressure dressing and sandbag over the pressure site if needed.
GENERAL
· Ensures through his/her actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the Riyadh Care Hospital.
· Ensure to demonstrate respect for patient modesty and confidentiality of finding at all times.
· Responsible to Inform about any repairs / damages machines to Chief Technician in order to inform Quality improvement coordinator. Performs quality improvement and ensures preventive maintenance.
· Responsible to educate patients /families as per their needs and to implement their whole role regarding patient / family education process as mention in patient & family education policy and procedure including documentation in patient medical record.
· They are knowledgeable about their essential role in patient and family education.
· Performs additional tasks and duties as assigned by Superiors.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements
· Diploma in Cardiovascular technology from recognize university.
· Professional License from Saudi Council for Health Specialties.
· BLS Certified.
EXPERIENCE:
· Two years of continued clinical experience in relevant specialty.
Competencies & skills:
· Fluent in spoken and written English.
· Communication in spoken Arabic is desirable.
· Exhibits professionalism and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
· Knowledgeable in computer applications.
