ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Public Relations Specialist (PR) contributes to the delivery of the Public Relations & Communications overall business objectives.
The role requires the candidate to develop a broad network at all levels with external stakeholders and organizations, and have the know-how to engage and establish relations with external stakeholders and audiences.
JOB DIMENSIONS
The Public Relations Specialist supports the role’s assigned duties in delivering the overall stakeholder engagement strategy, preparation and implementation of protocol procedure, events, external communications and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The Public Relations Specialist maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business activities in general, its midrange plans, culture and competition.
ACTIVITIES
Support the overall public relations strategy and objectives
Activate the external communications strategy in media relations, stakeholder mapping and all ad hoc basis tasks of public relations
Execute events, campaigns, media & social media platforms timely and efficiently
Support the development of close and effective relationships with NOC business/operational stakeholders: i.e. Qatar Petroleum and Total; government entities – at all levels
Ensure NOC Protocol Procedure is well executed at all different events; ex, Board of Directors meetings, CEO visitors reception, etc.)
Maintain high-quality external collaterals and materials; such as brochures used during campaigns and fairs, company profile, NOC’s website, NOC’ social media, media coverage etc.
7Work closely with the Public relations team to develop and execute external stakeholder engagement plan and maintain strong relationships and facilitation with external stakeholders
Support Head of Public Relations in planning and execution of key strategic, tactical and ad hoc requirements
Collaborate professionally with all PR and Communications team on an ad hoc basis
Participate fully in crisis response training and assist during emergency response situations if required(on/offshore)
Ensure cost efficiencies in all cost related activities
Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Public Relations
CONTEXT & ENVIRONMENT
Role is based in the NOC main office (onshore)
Offshore visits are possible
Emergency Response Team member
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Preferably B.A/B.S in Business Administration/Marketing and Communications/Stakeholder Engagement.
5 years of experience in similar role for oil and gas Industry
Excellent verbal and written skills in English. Arabic would be advantageous.
Self-motivated and committed to producing high quality work
Ability to work in a multicultural environment
