Supply Chain Manager (Industrial & medical gas)
Our client, a leading industrial & medical gas company headquartered in Dubai seeks to hire a Supply Chain Manager. Potential incumbents will be responsible to ensuring efficient sourcing of raw materials, manufacturing products, store inventory and transport shipments from vendors to company location and to consumers or wholesalers. It will include analyzing logistics data to refine the supply chain, negotiating business relationships, and communicating with suppliers and distributors. The personnel shall be responsible for overseeing and managing company’s overall supply chain and logistics strategy to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. Below are the major key results areas.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service teams and closely with the IT department to create effective databases to manage and organize warehouse inventory
- Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes to identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Train and instruct other members of the Supply Chain team
- Build and maintain a good and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values
- Develop new and existing relationships with logistic partners.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company, at sites, and in the factory.
- Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
Experience & Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain / Logistics.
- Supply Chain Management certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in International Logistics & Transportation, Warehousing, and Inventory Management
- Must be an hands on individual
- Good time management, with the ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy and keep to deadlines
- Excellent relationship management skills and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
- IT literacy, skills in Excel and the ability to handle electronic data and understanding of risk management in the context of the supply chain.
