Our client is looking for the following positions:
- Responsible for safe, efficient and economical operations of all Company Vessels and Marine Units.
- Ensure that company vessels are maintained in compliance with all local and international regulations.
- To ensure the successful, safe and profitable conduct of the vessel maintenance
- Responsible for Overall performance of Technical department of company.
- Follow up all technical aspects of company fleet and ensure company owned /managed vessels are maintained in high technical standard.
- Prepare budget for day to day technical maintenance of each vessel in consultation with concerned Port engineer and ensure that the expenses are maintained within +/- 5 % of budget.
- Prepare Yearly dry dock budget in consultation with concerned Port engineers / Port Captains and ensure overall DD expenses for the company remains within +/- 5 %
- Ensure vessels downtime because of technical reason are maintained at minimum (+/- 2%)
- Monitor all dry docking matters which includes preparation of specification, procurement of spares /material, obtain quotation, cost analysis, selection of yard, take management approval for estimated budget and selected yard, attendance of repair works & negotiate / discuss scope of completed works with shipyards.
- Ensure Technical filing system are maintained in office and onboard vessels which includes instruction books / manuals/drawings.
- Ensure the implementation of all company technical programs / policies with respect to recording machinery performances, completion of machinery logs and maintaining the vessel in good working order.
- Ensure control of supply of spare and stores to vessel and inventory is up to date.
- Maintain a directory of Approved suppliers / manufacturers of equipment installed on the company’s vessels and regular monitoring of suppliers to ensure quality of supplies / services received to vessel.
- Introduce and monitor technical procedures / instruction to enhance capabilities / familiarization of the existing technical staff with the equipment / systems of vessels.
- Responsible for obtaining long term contracts with technical service providers where applicable
- Liaise with operation department to conduct any third-party vetting inspections/closeouts as required for the vessels operation.
- Ensure company fleet fuel consumptions are monitored regularly
- Responsible to assist & guide the vessel’s owners on all technical aspects for vessel preparation as per client requirements.
- Responsible to periodically inspect the vessels as per company Management System.
- To advice/assist the management in vessel’s modifications
- Review PMS periodically and propose changes.
- Should understand and know Aramco, ADNOC, Qatar and India requirements
- Be able to handle insurance claims
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- STCW white list Class-1 Chief Engineer.
- Minimum 4 years experience in Technical Management of vessels and equipments similar to those operated by the Company.
- Well conversant with international and local standard/regulations applicable for marine operations.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Computer literate.
