Job Position – Service Technician

Main objective is to carry out efficient maintenance and repairs, thus maintaining customer confidence in MacGregor.
- Independent working methods
- Awareness of the profitability of the Branch
- Continuous development of own skills
- Carrying out of day to day activities as specified
- Carrying out planned and corrective maintenance/repairs, including onboard inspections of equipment according to MacGregor Service Operating Principles Manual
- Providing information and writing reports as required
- Carrying out port sales
- Job management of subcontractors
- Decision making of commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, previously agreed with the Service Manager.
What you’ll need to succeed
- University degree (BSc), technical degree or equivalent
- 1+ years direct experience as a technician in marine business or similar equipment
- Proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language
- MacGregor MSS Service
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff
- Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage and complete projects in individual and group settings
- Driver’s license
- Ability to work overtime, as well as on weekends or on call duty; excessive overnight travel required
- Ability to multi-task, while completing work in a competent and professional manner.
