Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
- Liaise with the respective HR section to ensure that HR support services for the branch, are promptly delivered within the stipulated SLAs.
- Update self on the regulatory requirements/changes set by Kuwait Central Bank and other relevant government bodies; effectively communicate these to the HR team/management, to effect necessary changes, including but not limited to staffing of employees, deliverables etc.
- Provide necessary support to the Business/Support Unit Heads and Chief Country Manager, in defining the current and future manpower needs of different business lines, to meet manpower requirements.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment team for sourcing, and respective Business/Support Unit Heads/Chief Country Manager for interview of external/ internal candidates for vacant positions as per job/person specifications.
- Liaise with the recruitment team in generation within the parameters of approved C&B guidelines handle and ensure prompt issuance of Offer Letter.
- Initiate, follow-up on and complete previous service certification background checks and professional references for prospective employees to ensure the accuracy of the information provided.
- Administer the joining formalities of new joiners, ensuring genuineness, accuracy, completeness and compliance of all approved joining forms / supporting documents and resolve documentation discrepancies, if any. Liaise with the HO – HR team in prompt sharing of documents, within the set timelines.
- Support in review of HR policies & procedures pertaining to the respective branch to ensure local regulations/government guidelines are appropriately integrated, and to ensure efficient and flawless operations.
- Provide adequate guidance to the internal stakeholders in inferring bank’s HR guidelines/ER aspects, and conduct investigations on account of disciplinary matters, prepare investigation reports and provide clear recommendations in consultation with the respective Business/Support Unit Heads/CCM and HR management.
- Provide procedural advice at all levels of grievance redressal hearings and ensure HR representation is duly made in the corrective action meetings, and appropriate communications are provided to the employee/(s).
- Ensure that the payroll related information of all employees uploaded in the system/ maintained are in line with procedural requirements and processed accurately to meet monthly pay runs.
- Work closely with the respective stakeholders in timely processing of monthly payroll for the on role/outsourced payroll employees, in accordance with statutory guidelines & terms and conditions of employment.
Education, Experience & Skills required
- University graduate with a degree in Business or HR or OD or OB or Industrial psychology or any other related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of total experience in financial services/banking industry, entailing responsibilities pertaining to the specific area of discipline.
- Experience in Generalist HR operations/administration in a supervisory capacity.
- Familiarity with international best practices and standards
- Experience in salary administration is advantageous
- Knowledge of fundamentals of banking operations, process and system.
- Strong understanding of Human Resources best practices
- Strong Understanding of Regulatory/Government guidelines
- Professional certification in HR is preferable
