Purpose
Reporting to the Head of Support Services, the Manager, Design will assist in finalizing the signage & wayfinding scope, the submission of details into overlay drawings and liaising with the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) Brand and Signage Teams to ensure the output meets the desire and operational requirements for TBS
Qualifications
Degree or equivalent higher diploma (preferred)
Fluent in English (fluent in Arabic a definite plus)
Event Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive responsibilities and work-related experience, and any combination of education and training, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, combined with demonstrated professional growth and achievement
Previous involvement in planning and operating complex events in size and nature of FIFA World Cup essential
Primary Duties
Signage
Manage the ongoing process of scoping, identifying gaps, inputting into relevant drawings and delivery assurance, noting that TBS do not design, supply or deliver the signage or branding, therefore the responsibility is to identify details (quantities, content etc) for the SC to coordinate with their nominated contractor
Coordinate with all TBS Workstreams to finalise and populate needs onto relevant drawings
Oversee delivery, through validation only
Wayfinding
Complete and assist in the dot planning of wayfinding, for eg. road and pedestrian
Work with the relevant workstreams to confirm content of all wayfinding needs
Like Signage, TBS are not responsible for designing or delivering, but to ensure the kit of parts has been prepared and all needs itemized onto a database together with the dot planning on relevant plans
Branding
Coordination and project management of the multi contractor bus wrapping exercise of currently 3,000 buses
As all designs are created by the SC, TBS are contracted to deliver a multi vendor contract and so this position will assist in the coordination of the various vendors and allotted installation sites working through the availability of buses with the Depot and Training team
Tournament Time
Create signage and branding After Action Reporting using photography, and videography
Post Tournament
Assist in the de-commissioning of bus wrapping and close out of vendor contracts
Knowledge and Skills Required
Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and other graphic suites
Expertise in MS Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Experience and knowledge of signage production and installation practices
Videography knowledge (preferred not essential)
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Able to manage information workflow, including timely following up with telephone, email, correspondence
Good understanding of IT including data flow and management
