Description
Responsible for creating a visible image that can be used in media and print. Uses software and hand-rendering to design products that meet the needs of Paus; Wellness.
Job Responsibilities:
Meet company requirements and goals to establish a vision for a product or design.
Select colours, images, textures and shapes to create the layout.
Select the size and arrangement of the different elements.
Use computer software to create electronic versions of designs.
Employ colour, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques when designing project.
Develop material for web pages.
Design logos for company products and businesses.
Develop signs and environmental graphics.
Create promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures.
Develop the layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications.
Meet with art directors to collaborate on design.
Perform research on competitors and market trends.
Collaborate with printers to select type of paper and ink.
Supervise assistants during product design.
Skills and qualifications required
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, or a related field.
Proven work experience as a Graphic & Multimedia Designer or a similar position in the Design industry.
A portfolio of design content from past work experiences.
A professional certificate in Illustrator, CAD, or equivalent.
Demonstrate working knowledge of storyboards, animation, and visual designs.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent time management skills, Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Illustrate the ability to create visually appealing content.
Ability to take feedback and make necessary changes.
Exceptional listening skills.
Proficient in multimedia designing tools such as Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc.
Ability to prioritize the tasks efficiently.
A keen eye for details for accuracy.
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
A creative individual with the ability to think out of the box.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work for long hours if needed.
A detail-orientated individual with decision-making skills.
