Job summary :

We are seeking a proactive, solution-orientated, lateral thinking Production Manager who has experience of production processes for Doha Bureau, Qatar.

The production Manager will report to the Senior Production Manager and Head of Editorials. The PM will make sure the shows are produced safely, cost-effectively, and on time and that, they meet the required quality standards. The PM will oversee the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations.

Key responsabilities :

The Production Manager will:

● plan, schedule, direct and execute the production activities for our Qatar based shows, several staff and equipmen

● handle logistics & Administrative tasks: equipment, book transport, accommodation, freelance staff, filming permits, mission order, claim expenses , several internal follow up documents…

● manage the production team (production assistant, cameraman, editor)

● book all needed facilities

● manage the production budgets, establish a financial follow up for each show and all expenses

● create production schedules and delivery schedules for the year in liaison with the Lyon office

● monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed

● ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed at all times

● make sure the quality standards are respected

● ensure all shows/productions are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met

● coordinate all teams in Doha : producers, presenters, production staff

● handle logistics : equipment, book transport, accommodation, freelance staff, filming permits

● organize filming locations working alongside the show producers/researchers in Qatar and elsewhere.

● manage the post-production workflow alongside the production team in Lyon, in particular organising a workflow for the dubbing and subtitling of shows.

Requirements for the role :

Our ideal candidate should have:

● a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position

● be fluent in English and Arabic (French will be appreciated)

● filming permit in Qatar

● relevant experience and contacts in Qatar and the Middle East

● planning, negotiation and organization skills to be able to run and monitor the production process

● the ability to :

o act decisively and solve staff or equipment-related problems

o communicate clearly and persuasively with all teams

o work under pressure and multitask

o work in a logical, systematic manner

o forward planning and production timeline creation experience essential.
